Interior Design Trends to keep an eye on in 2023
As we approach the middle of the decade, we are starting to see some trends solidify themselves into permanent transformations in the way we live. The pandemic caused a mass migration of activities to the home, and new challenges will keep them there as we head toward 2025. Higher living costs, recessionary markets, and the impact of climate change will all see us continue to do more – and expect more – from the spaces we live in. The landscape of home has permanently shifted and the importance of the home and its role as a place of comfort, sanctuary and protection will grow, fueled by evolving lifestyle trends and societal disruptions. Here are a few interior design trends to keep an eye on in 2023.
Sustainability and eco-friendliness
We are becoming increasingly aware of the impact of our choices on the environment. In 2023, we can expect to see more sustainable and eco-friendly materials and designs, such as furniture and soft furnishings made from recycled materials, energy-efficient lighting, and natural fibers.
Neutral Color Palettes with Bright Pops of Colour as Accents
Neutral color palettes are likely to remain popular in 2023, with shades of beige, gray, and white being particularly popular. However, we may also see more bold and vibrant colors, such as deep blues, greens, and yellows, being used as accents to help liven up our inteiors and make them more playful and personal.
Vintage and Antique Pieces
In contrast to the minimalist trend we are so used to seeing and will still remain popular, we may also see more vintage and antique pieces being incorporated into interior design in 2023. These pieces can add a sense of history and character to spaces, creating a unique and personal aesthetic.
